Older audiences are sure to get more out of the film than young ones, however, if you want to spread the magic of Barbie this summer as the world becomes obsessed, we do have a list of age appropriate titles for children. Still, the heart of who Barbie is and how the franchise has changed over the decades does make its way to the silver screen in the Greta Gerwig flick. The PG-13 film is a far cry from the G rated fare that’s been captured on VHS, DVD, and on streaming. But, though its based on the iconic Mattel doll, the movie doesn’t capture the Barbie generations have grown up with, at least not in the way you might think. Barbie (2023) is here! The cotton candy pink fantasy adventure is nearly two hours worth of comedy, satire, and social commentary.
